A few days ago I had a CEL and an alert on my '07 RL that said Check Transmission. On the way home, a time or two, I also saw an emissions error. I've read threads here that to watch for a blinking D shifter light, but that burned out a few years ago and was at the bottom of my priority list to fix. From searching the threads here, I haven't found any with pics of the replacement. Can anyone give me any tips?

BTW, I also had the battery checked, just to be sure.

Oh yeah, does anyone happen to know whether any other Acura or Honda models use the same part? I'm not above getting a used part from the junkyard to install, but there's no RL's in the area. I've found an '06 MDX, but that's about it unless I go to something from a previous generation.

I just got a call back from O-Reilly's today and they can't get me the part. I have a hunch some Honda models use the same part, but with a different part number. Does anyone know how to track that down? I'm having a little trouble finding one, short of paying through the nose at the dealer.

 

Part number is 28900-RJB-043 and it is about $100 on various Acura OEM part online sites.
