Optima Red Top Battery size group 25

Due to our cars eatting batteries, I was thinking about getting a Red Top, so I dont have to buy a battery every 2 years. Anyone on the same page? What batteries are eveyone using?

We have hit on this a couple of times burried in other threads.

IIRC:
1. The top of the battery is not flush and does not work (well)if you leave the fuse on the terminal
2. Since they started making them in Mexico they arent as great as they were
3. The battery works well in the car

There are lots of flat top batteries for our cars.

Yes all the panels fit its just the fuse that has to be forced into place.

3 years I think, could be 4.
Its my weekly commuter and usually sits on the weekends. I would say that regular use keeps the battery new, I wouldn't trust it if it sat for more than a week.
