OnStar still working in 2008?

Apparently, some have analog onstar and some have digital.
I called Onstar (just pressed the button in the car) and asked them if this unit was digital or analog... they told me that mine (an 06) was digital and there's nothing to worry about.
Incidentally, I told them I was going to cancel my service, and they gave me 100 free minutes and slashed my rate from $18 a month from the renewal, to $12 a month.
Pays to complain now and again.
