Maybe if the parts were actually OEM pieces I might consider some like the area around the select shifter knob. That would loom awesome with the wood knob. You are right frank I think the whole set is a bit much but in moderations with OEM I deff would consider some of the pieces.

That picture has been around a few times. It's either this or nothing.

That is the MMC stock console trim and cup holder. The ACC plug was moved to the left for the MMC. Only the USDM and CADM models have that shifter. What you have is normal for the Legend.

I disagreed oo7. On the sit it says you can order the pices u want. But never the less. If u do have to order the entire set for $145 you can still make your own decision not to use all the included pieces.

too tacky for me.

That's fine. To each his own.
What I dislike about the kit is that it is peel and stick-on whereas the MMC trim is actual pieces. That way you can't see the edges and it is not obvious that you bought "wood" stickers on line to put in your $50k car. Just my .

Agree about the stick-on pieces, 007. I've thought about this route, with my RL and with my previous car, and that's one of the reasons I've always stopped short of doing it.
I also agree with your earlier post about the wood wheel and the post-'09 console face as being the right amount of wood. But I have to admit to being a bit of a wood snob: I think the '09 console plood looks much too visibly fake. (To my own surprise, I think the fake wood on the tan-interior '03-08 TSX looks much more convincing than the fake stuff in the recent RL's. In fact, it's just about the best fake-wood execution I've ever seen.)
Before I bought my RL, I looked at otherwise identical RL's, one with the real-wood nav dash and the other with the fake-wood base-model dash. The fake one doesn't look bad (it's a lot like the just-discontinued generation of the MDX), but side by side you really see the difference, especially in the sunlight. The real stuff has visible 3-D depth to the grain, and the fake is just a flat surface with a pattern printed on it. (The same is true of the door plood, which is fake on all of our cars, of course.) They did lavish enough attention to detail to make the plood interestingly reflective, but it's still not quite the same.
Now, the RLX is selling for more money with fake wood AND fake leather... don't even get me started.

Yes, '09-'12. There was no 2013 model RL.
