Can somebody explain this to me? I was looking at the HFL list of phones and the v710 says it does not support offboard diagnostics.

Is this because verizon blocked all other bluetooth profiles? Or is it something else?

 

I don't think anyone really knows why some phones support it and some don't. I have the Windows Mobile SMT 5600 and it does not support the Acura Link stuff. Some people have said that if you can borrow an approved phone and pair it up, then your non-diagnostic phone will work. I have not tried this as I do not know anyone with an approved phone, but if you do, it may be worth a try.

 

I don't know anybody with an approved phoen either. But I don't have the RL either. lol

But, what exactly is "offboard diagnostics" what will it tell you?
