Thumbs up just pre-ordered the 18s

I just pre-ordered the 18s. Looking forward to see them in person (eventually) and seeing those 19s pictured on an RL later today.

I thought we had to use 255/40/19 for 19" wheels?

245's are a closer match to the OE wheel and tire set up.

here you go, 19" with 245/40/19 tires, the finish will be the Liquid Graphite, but this gives you an idea of how it will look. We also had to make the offset a 41mm to clear the retardely huge caliper, but it still clears the fender and looks nice and flush.

ALso added an 18" size option for the RL, thanks to a few phone calls and 2 orders., RL support at this time is very valuable...

Would love to see pics on a silver RL with the final wheel finish.

Also, will the TPMS sensors fit?

What are the tire size options for the 18s?

Ok these are the two finishes, no polished face:
1.) Liquid Silver for a lighter colored wheel.
2.) Liquid Graphite for a darker colored wheel.

TPMS are compatible, tire size options for the 18" are 245/45/18 (suggested) or 255/45/18

Some cool PS's displaying the two optional finishes, Liquid Silver and Liquid Graphite....

The liquid graphite looks great with the silver RLs. Thank you for the pictures, Ron! Looks like I have a decision to make.

Ron, I'm in for a 19" Liquid Silver set. Glad to see you pushed the offset out a bit as well. I have to tell you, perfect timing on these wheels, I just paid for the annual on my plane, and have enough cash left over for a set of these!! Do you take calls on Sunday, or should I wait till Monday?

Heh, weekdays are fine, thanks. I really like these wheels on the RL the best, they have such an OEM look to them, they just flow with the car. Bob, I knew you couldn't resist, lol.

BTW, here's a cool Hi res shot of Liquid GRaphite on an 08 Accord...

maybe this weekend, a nice concept RL with a custom kit (that probably won't hit production) and the Legend wheels in 20" x 8.5" and a 5 x 120 bolt pattern with a 35mm offset. they would only fit a widebody RL...

Fair question. The decision I had to make was whether to spend on CAI and exhaust, or on these wheels. I decided to spend on the mods first.

I still plan on buying these wheels, but later in the spring or early summer.

Forgive the dumb question, but how does the TPMS work with these? Do you have to buy sensors and install them? How much are sensors?

Yes (as with all Ron's wheels), yes, and www.hondacuraworld.com (site sponsor) will give you that answer.

WOW!!! My search is over. I have looking for a nice set of rims for about a year and I have found them.

Just trying to figure out which finish would look good on an Oppulent Blue RL.

Since this is the first time the wheel has been made, we have to make sure that the wheels pass all the proper tests and standards. The 5 x 120 was showing signs of potential weakness, so we had to correct the space between the lug nut hole and the edge of the wheel. that was corrected and production was resumed, the 5 x 114.3 was fine.
So we are looking at April/May for availablility. Sorry for the delay, but these things are bound to happen when making a wheel for the first time.

here is an update of the finishes side by side, right from the camera. The Liquid Graphite might apear to be a little on the dark side, but I thinbk it was just the dark suroundings.

Ron,

I have a 06 RL A-Spec. Can the OEM A-Spec's wheel center caps fit these 19 inch wheels, if you don't mind I use the OEM caps on your wheels?

They should fit fine. I owned a set of RonJon Devotions on my TL and used Acura center caps.

No chance for 2006 Tech (CMBS/PAX) cars to have these lovely things? The liquid graphite is just fantastic. This design truly befits the LEGEND.

Should not be a problem to do this. The TPMS is the same part number, between PAX and non PAX. When the time comes, I will be looking at this change also. You also have to give up your storage compartments to get the spare, attachment parts, etc.

See the list below from member lland in another thread he contributed to:

* Trunk Spacer Assembly (Part number: 84542-SJA-A00)
* Adapter - Spare Tire (74651-S2x-003)
* Bolt - Spare Tire (74652-SDA-003
* Label - Spare Tire Adapter - Not really needed but cheap (74653-SJA-003)
* Nut - Wheel (90304-SJH-A91) - Need 20 of them or 16 and a set of wheel locks
* Disk Aluminum Wheel (this is the spare) - 17x4T (42700-SJA-J51)
* Valve - Rim (42753-SBB-661) - Need 4 unless you car reuse the valve stems from the PAX wheels. I don't know but at less than $1.00 each, might as well get new ones.
* You will also need TPM sensors if you can't or don't reuse the ones in the PAX assembly.

Here is a pic of the true Liquid Silver on another wheel, Factory made an error on the sample I received, and we just did the production the correct color...

But seems the RL A-Spec center cap is bigger than TL's

Can someone confirm? I need to make sure this before I buy...

Ron, can you PS the RL body color to black, and the wheels to Hyper Black color? I want to see how these 2 colors on black RL A-Spec, if possible. I appreciate it.

Carbon Gray Pearl

Hey guys,

Need your advice...

I am seriously thinking about these Ron Jon wheels for my RL.

My question is which one would look good on a Carbon Gray Pearl car....Liquid Silver or Liquid Graphite?

Anyone have a picture of a side by side comparison?

Thanks!

I think the Liquid Silver. More in keeping with the sport "luxury" theme of the car.

On a dark color like CGP, I think the liquid silver, for a contrast, and it works with the chrome on the car.

My two cents

19" will be re-released with a 2" lip version to match the 20" Legend Type II with the deep lip for those who need caliper clearance up front.

Good news, they came in around 10:oo am, we unloaded them and spent the whole friggin day sending out all the orders. UPS had to send another truck to accomodate the 100+ boxes that went out, 3 local customers came by and picked up.

Liquid Silver Looks very nice, almost like a polished surface.

So everyone except a handfull of people are taken care of and in transit. pics coming soon, after I take a small nap and have dinner.
Some people called in sick today of all days, so I had to get down and dirty with the workers and get the wheels off the container and all shipped out. I just watched "Over the Hedge" and sleept a bit just to get some energy back.

So I shot the Liquid Silver really quick, and its hard to see, but the finish is almost like a polished surface, pretty neat becasue the surface is really a paint, not a buffed surface. Almost looks like Billet slightly worn down and clear coated, very custom looking and durable I might add.

enjoy!

Very very nice wheel, Ron.... no market for 17s but I would like to see such wheels in 17 ....This would maintain enough side wall to maintain ride quality and down this way we do dirt/gravel/beach roads and a 17 side wall sure helps...

Very Nice wheel and at a fair/good price too!..will be looking for them down here...
