hey AZ fam.. just bought an RL last month and been looking at these RLs on the photo gallery section and you guys have some amazing RLs. RL owners are far and few from where I am..

but I want to start modding this baby and round it into shape.. some things id like to do first is install an intake and spoiler. if you guys have any advice as to what intake and where to purchase one, thatd be great - same goes with a spoiler.

oh im a proud owner of a 06 RL in celestial silver metallic.. im in my last year of my studies so funds is tight.. but i do have some wiggling room.. so any advice guys?

The best spoiler to me is the stock Acura spoiler. It's reasonably priced on eBay and it adds a subtle, yet sporty look to the car. The Mugen spoiler is larger, more expensive, but the carbon fiber on it also looks good.

The only intake available that is documented to work is the AEM intake for the 3G (2004-2008) TL. If you search, you'll find that the only mod to make that work is a bracket to attach it to the inside of the engine cavity. That's about $300 in total.

If you can afford it, upgrade the dowdy wheels, too, but if you are a student, that may stretch your budget.

Does anyone have a installed photo of the AEM intake? I was considering a K&N drop in because I did'nt think anyone made one for my 05. I'd also like to see a close up of the fabbed bracket.

thanks for the advice guys.. i have been looking at the forums pretty extensively since i've registered.. AEM CAI looks good but at the same time, looks tought to put in.. is the best place to get the filter from visionary racing?

and i've already ordered the stock acura spoiler.. this morning.. should be coming to me in a week or so..

 

dont think thats the avenue i'd be taking.. dont think i'd lower my RL.. i wouldnt mind throwing on bigger wheels (19's) and maybe aspec body kit..

btw neuron do u know where they are ordered the aspec body kit? or anyone else? VR carries mugen.. but for 3grand its too $$ for me..

Wow, there seems to be a fair amount of people w/ Celestial Silver RL, good choice(I have one too). I just got mine back in March. Yeah, Visionary Racing is one of the only sites I've seen that has stuff it actually says works for RLs. The first things I'm saving up for are the intake and the 5zigen exhaust (^-^)b

ohh.. 5zigen exhaust.. quite a purchase youre saving up to.. very nice! i'd probably get intake next once i get the spoiler to come in..
