Well I have had my 05 RL for 48 hours and I made the right decision. I had an 03 Marauder since new. We moved 1 month ago and then it snowed. The Marauder could not get up and out of our driveway. I knew then I needed AWD. The RL never entered my thoughts. I looked at Infinity and Lexus. When visiting a Lexus site I saw my new RL listed in the used section. Drove it the next day and bought it the following day. What a great car. I have had Honda products before and knew the RL would be different but this things is light years ahead, even as an 05.

there was no tech package in 05, and welcome to the club.
Funny I bought my 06 in a similar fashion, I went to see a lexus (after the disaster with my 02 tl-s and 3 trannys i wasnt goint to look at acura again) and was disappointed with the GS. And the dealer was a snothead too, but my wife prevailed on me to check out the RL, and I was impressed. Bought mine 2 days later

One of my neighbors has a Marauder. The power that car has and the noise it makes when revved are bada$$ed.

 

I have the blue that almost looks silver. The Marauder is the best sounding car on the road period. Especially when you nail the gas. But it is a slug off the line. I am betting that the RL is quicker 0-60.
