New Discovery

I have an 05 Nighthawk Black Pearl RL that I purchased just over a month ago. I had to take my wife's car downtown this morning, it is a Lexus ES 330. I discovered that although I saw it as a feature listed on the RL, I never really noticed how much quieter that the RL is! I kept having to turn the radio up to hear it this morning because of the traffic and road noise!

I know it may seem minute to most of you, but I was astounded at the difference.

Also, here is what I have had done to the car since purchase:

Driver and Passenger Door Mirrors replaced (loose)
Navi Unit and Disc replaced (stopped working)
Passenger Door Light System replaced (stopped working)

Now I have the whining when I press on the gas and so I am going to ask them to check it out. By the way, I love the WARRANTY!

That's also what I took from that. The ANC is a nice feature.

I was driving my 06 TL today and it did seem a lot louded inside the car. I got hear engine and all sorts of things. Plus side for TL, brakes are more responsive and stop it faster, plus the gas pedal feels better and car down shifts when required, RL seems lazy with that.

Sorry, I should have been more clear, the Active Noise Cancellation is the discovery. Also, StonedCL, I bought it at 38k miles and even though it is certified, I got the Acuracare Warranty for around $1300.00. I was out the door at the dealer for $23,000

Glad to see you like the ANC, I absolutely love it. Y'know, I feel like I'm in that Mercedes SUV commercial when driving the RL.. you know when their talking about how quiet and everything with big ass pipes and whatnot falling all over the rd and construction guys working...

Anyway, to try something pretty neat do this: Cover the rear headboard microphone, it helps to tell the difference but not necessary.. And also/or cover the microphone right above your head with your finger. Now, drive around, turn the music on, and hit the highway too while leaving your finger there, and taking it away periodocally...

Great feature!.. Did I ever mention I love the RL???

The ANC is a nice feature that you really do forget about, until you drive a different car. Make you appreciate the car that much more

I came out of a Pontiac Grand Prix, wife's old car. I LOVE THIS CAR... my wife keeps reminding me that polygamy is illegal but I told her that since the car isn't human per se, then I can legally divide my love and attention between them! I drive a ton for work and have already put about 4,000 miles on the car... still in love like I was on day one.
