new 2008 owner/ some questions

So finally I decided to buy an RL.
I picked myself a nice gray 2008 RL with Nav.
The car drives great.

I have few questions/ problems I need your advice:
1. Front license plate holder is missing I need one for the state of MA, where can I get one?
2. The lug nut key is missing, any ideas what to do?
3. The phonelink systems is locked, I assume the previous owner locked it.
4. There car makes a strange noise while driving, sound like a woshshshshsh, above 20MPH.

Except the above the car is great, still need to figure out how to configure things, I will probably read the forum in the next day or two.

Gratz on your purchase!

Sounds to me all 4 problems you have stated can all be solved at an Acura dealer. I know for a fact that problems 2 & 3 can be solved at the dealer and I wouldn't see why the dealer could not help you out with 1 & 4.

I bought the car in NC and drove all the way back to MA.
Do I need to purchase the front plate and fix the lug nut key or the dealer will do it free?

They will probably charge you for the plate holder because it is a purpose made part, but it cannot hurt to ask. I would know your internet part prices so that you can evaluate the price the dealer charges you.

They probably can help you with a key. From what I have seen is that they have a set of keys, a big plastic case that opens up with multiple keys fitted so they don't have to fool with customer keys. Then they always use their parts and cannot be accused of losing the customer key.

They won't likely give you a new key, but can identify the missing key and help you special order it from McGard. The other alternative is nasty to contemplate, and involves removing by force the old locks and installing a new set.

When I bought my car new, it didn't have the key for the locks. The dealer pulled out the plastic case full of locks (8 of them or so), found the one that fit mine and handed it to me. I figured they had another set.

Welcome to the club!

I'm guessing you didn't buy the RL directly from Acura? Because most of these "problems" should have been fixed prior to the sale of the car. And the Front license plate should have been included with the purchases (since most states by law require the front plates?)

The first 3 problems should easily be fix at your local Acura dealership. You could always call the dealership where you bought the car and request for a shipped of the plates or a reimbursement (but I wouldn't hold my breath )?

The dealer wasn't an Acura dealer and for the price I paid for the car he will not send me anything.

About the noise the car makes, it come and goes, when I drove this morning it didn't make the sound but started after a while.

I went to the acura dealer today:
1) I had to buy the front plate holder
2) Lug nut key I ordered from McGard.
3) Phonelink they can't unlock it, they ordered a new unit for me.
4) The noise they claimed is because of the window seal, looks like the windshield was replaced in the past because of a chip and it wasn't sealed correctly, I had to go to a glass repair shop and ask them to reseal it.

I went to the check the windshield on Thursday, they fixed the molding around the windshield, and they said that the noise is not coming from the windshield.
Went to the dealer again on Friday, this time that did a test drive and mentioned that the noise is coming from the firewall.
I left the car there and took a loaner.
