New 07 owner, base windshield trim loose.
Hi everyone, just joined, looks to be a great forum. I worked for Acura back in 2005 when these cars came out and never thought I would get to own one but here we are. Just bought this for my wife and she loves it. Only has 60,000 miles, clean Carfax, bought it from a very large dealer. Here's my issue, I don't notice at the dealer (snowing a lot here lately) but then trim at the base of the windshield is lifting up. Is this common and something I can fix? I work on all my own cars and I'm sure if I called the dealer, they would take care of it but they are an hour away and it would be a lot easier if I could just snap it back into place if that's all it takes. It's lifting right in the center. Thanks!
Well I fixed that no problem, just worked it from the center to the edge, then I discovered something lovely. Looks like this windshield has been replaced before... The black plastic edge covers up both sides of the windshield are embarrassingly loose. Great.
I tried looking to see if it snaps down somehow but I couldn't really see anything. Any ideas guys?
Off to use the search function lol. Really though, this is minor stuff, its still a great car.

Windshield trim
Hey any luck with this? I have the same problem with my 07 RDX even had it inspected at local Acura Dealer for 100$'s and once I got home the trim was loose. At least one of the plastic clips is broke and one toward the top is loose. I was going to try and silicone it in. Not sure of a part number to check how much they are ty replace.

I have had this issue with my 05 RL for over a year. My trim piece on the drivers side will come up after driving for awhile from the air resistance. There are metal clips which grab the plastic. I just keep pushing mine down. I might apply a tiny bit of silicon to the clip and push it back down to get it to stick.
Hmmmm, I'm thinking my clips are broken off from the new windshield. Nothing seemed to even try to be catching. The windshield seems sealed good though, I haven't noticed any leaking.
