Ben, there's plenty 14 pin plugs on a RL. Are you looking for the one for the Navigation system to interface a video signal? If so it's connected to the DVD Navigation Drive.

Does this suggest adding some kind of 'Y' connector and feeding signal from portable DVD player to NAV screen? I guess one would have to isolate the NAV from the display at the same time.

Yes, there are Y connectors/adaptors available to do exactly that; interface a video signal from a portable DVD player to the NAV screen. The adapter is able to isolate the NAV from the display which is very nice.

i am installing a blitz unit to connect an IPOD. It does it through a Y connection.

I believe it uses the navigation plug...

I am more concerned about getting the dash apart to get to it... Anyone taken it apart to get to it?

Can i get to it though the side panels by the floor?

Ok ok ok....I don't know where the thread is (can someone find it who's good at searching? ) but there is a thread on how to get at the back of the radio.

That connector you are looking for is behind the radio. I think you should be able to get to it from the side panels, but I remember people saying you have to have small hands.

Hopefully someone can come up with the post that shows step by step directions on how to remove the radio.
