I guess if u don't want to enter a last minut bidding war then the buy it now is an attractive option. But at the same time if there are little demand then you can bid past the reserve and get the item for less than the but it now place. Quite clever actually. Lol

was watching it...but might as well send my unit to alpine for $358 and get it fixed for good...as opposed to buying a used one and it dying on me again.....glws

Sniffles you are absolutely right. You can send yours to alpine for $358 assuming they can fix it but you will also have to pay for round trip shipping which is going to cost you an additional $50+

 

$358 includes shipping back. Don't see how they can't fix it if its the unit..my unit keeps showing please insert disc so probably need a new laser optic lens or whatever else...at least I hope lol....just sucks I can't use any of the buttons below the audio buttons =(

 

Is that price a guesstimate or is it a quoted price? Since these units sell for $3000+ at the dealer, I can only assume the price to fix could be with in that range. But I understand you must travel the route that is easier on the wallet.

 

Called Alpine and that's the price they gave me to fix it. The price you want for your unit is on point with other used units being sold...Its only easier on the wallet because I don't have to worry about dishing out another $358 if the used unit fails again...otherwise, I would be bidding for yours
