Moon Roof Visor

I have been toying with the idea of purchasing the moon roof visor. I had one on my Audi S4 and it looked good. I'm not sure I like the one for the RL, especially for the $175 price (uninstalled). Any pro/con views on the visor? Thanks

I had one on my old Honda Accord and liked it. I don't think it would look good on the RL though. If you do get one, I wouldn't worry about installation. It's a couple of clips and a few minutes with a screwdriver.

Look at places like Hondacuraworld.com. The moon roof visor is more like $115 + 3.95 S&H. I have bought many accessories through them.

I bought one on eBay for $39. Looks and works great. Took 2 minutes to install.

It's ugly.
It works.
I found the moon roof virtually unusable until I installed the visor.

I'd have to agree. I don't like the look, but if you want to drive over 45mph with the sunroof open, the built in air diffuser is not effective.

I normally don't like the looks of them but it does look better than I thought. And absolutely, a moonroof is useless at highway speeds without one of these.

For $39, I figured there was nothing to lose.

I've had quite a few cars with sun/moon roofs and I bet I have not driven with them open a dozen times. I just don't like all that dust and dirt blowing in, and the noise gets to me. You can probably guess I have never owned a convertible.

As for a visor on the RL, I would think that would not be something that would add to your trade, but if you do a lot of driving with your moonroof open I would say go for it.

My car came with one. Dealer trade type of thing. Did not like the looks and it coverd too much of the opening. took it off. Besides my Husky could not put his head out the top with it there. Don't usually open the roof at Hiway speeds though. Usually open the roof +/- windows on secondary roads.

Good Feedback. My mind is made up to pass on getting the visor. The roof is rarely opened when driving so it wouldn't make much sense to install just for the look. However, for the person who got his visor for $39... that's a great deal and I would have installed one for that price.

The door sensor has not been working at all for the last 2 days.
This morning I had an appointment for the recall fix and since they had my door handle in stock, I had them replace it. Note: The only reason they had it in stock is because initially they ordered the wrong one (passenger side) and have kept the driver side handle in stock ever since.
I picked the car up a few minutes ago and tested the new handle a few times. It is working like it's supposed to, so we will see how long that lasts.

P.S. They gave me a new RDX for a loaner and I was surprised at how it fast it accellerates.
Too bad it was snowing out with slippery roads or I would have given it a good test drive.
