Low/Fog LED upgrades

After many great miles on my RL I decided to go with fresh new bulbs all around.
I went with the @Diode Dynamics line up as they have great customer service and assemble parts here in the US.

Everything was plug and play with no splicing or extra diodes, there is no flicker nor any DRL error codes with the high beams and the DRLs look much nicer.

I also snagged a pair of the back up bulbs, what a huge difference that makes. Kind of kicking myself for not doing that sooner

That's the problem, Shirley!

I made that mistake in upgrading my Prelude - fell for the hype.

Swapped to 4300K and I could see them from the driver's seat.

So far so good with them, no error codes and the DRLs are brighter (arguably safer) while the High beams far out perform the halogen.

How did yours turn out?

And to think I did it without the hype... I'm disappointed in myself

Interesting that you guys in the US get Daytime Running Lights and that they just use the main headlight globes.

We don't have DRLs at all on the Honda Legend version, and DRL equipped cars usually use a dedicated LED unit for the DRLs - just switching on the headlights all the time seems like a quick way to go through bulbs. How long do you normally have to go between headlight globe replacement ? Every few years ?

I’ve never had one go out, these were 8 years old.
I also don’t use high beam lights very often so that may help the life as well.

I suspect the LEDs will last much longer

I rarely need my high beams so I just keep my low beams on during the day for now. I still haven't purchased them yet. Waiting for a sale to pop up. I have until September when my inspection is due. The current set of LEDs from VLEDs I have in there has lasted almost 9 years, but I don't drive my car often.

Right on, I am sure they will have a memorial day sale.
They are also on amazon if you get gift cards.

I bought them with the memorial day discount. I was away on vacation for the month of July so I disconnected my battery while I was gone. When I returned, the Vled bulb started working again, flawlessly . So my Diode Dynamics set will sit in my closet until its needed.
