Well, maybe a hump day car but only because they may have been hung over Tuesday from the party Monday nite.

Never a Thursday because Wednesday is bike night.

I don't really care for labels, I'd put a Bentley one on just to make funny, but I think I'm gonna stick to anonymous again, same as I tried with the RL until I got new wheels...ended up dropping it, painting grill...and then it wasn't anonymous anymore.

So yea in my world they dont compare.
the 5 series is a performer and a cruiser.

The car cruises just as well as the RL.

I really dont drive the car for performance.

The car has best of both worlds where the RL lacks.

They compare because they are midsize sedans with teh same interior capacity.

compare? yes!

And trust me...nothing against the RL. I loved that car...

but now i realize why they call BMW the ultimate driving machine.

yes...we got the UDM reference.

I took it around the block, seemed to lean into corners less than the RL, then again, I had it squeek braking, or accelerating, or turning...those RS-A tires are trash. With good tires I have no doubt it would handle much better than RL, or at least feel much better doing it.

Luckily the RL isn't competing with BMWs, they're going up against the Lexus GSs and Infiniti M's which are softer.

so the salesman hits me up and says man....I think we gave you to much for your car...

Here are the issues with the RL. This is why I just got another car instead of fixing it.

1. Shocks are finished
2. Loud knocking noise in the rear
3. Front Frame is Cracked/Bent
4. Car does not drive straight and it is alligned
5. The sunroof shade is a rattle box
6. Nothing wrong with the innovate mouts, but a RL buyer doesnt want to buy a car that vibrates like crazy
7.CD player doesnt work
8. A/C doesnt work
9.The OEM ballasts are not there. The ebay Ballasts are there
10.Headlight is cracked
11. Fender is painted

Car has 82000mi...

It was in rough shape. I was expecting that amount.

Acura was giving me 6500$ because they actually inspected every part of the car.

Too late now. I'm sure they made a profit on the BMW you bought from them. How much did you get for your trade-in ?

Geez what did you do to that poor RL?

Kind of makes me smile inside that the dealer got the short end of the stick for once. Sucks for them. What was the salesman's purpose of calling you to tell you that?

There has to be a story behind that one. RLs don't end up in that sort of shape at only 82k miles.

I also agree with cjTL. Why would the salesman call you specifically to tell you what they did? They didn't inspect properly, their fault, their loss.

Oh! I didn't see that post. I am SO sorry to read about that happening.

I HATE road construction with a passion. Should be illegal to leave sewer covers in that state, especially on the freeway. One would think it was common sense to do that. There's a manhole in exactly that state in front of one of my hospitals and I do my damnedest to avoid it.

damn congrats on the beamer my man, i recently just got a beamer this past feb too but in canada a price of a beamer is 2X that of one in the states. These n54 TT engines are the deal, they make even the 3.5 and 3.7 from honda seem slow.. btw what packages did you get with it?
