but seriously, buying a 45k car and not have a navi/backup camera? maybe with BMW pricing but not Acura...

 

I'll pretend to own a 2nd gen RL and try to answer your question.

 

My '06 is "non-tech". The tech package is;

CMBS and PAX

Back up camera.

Anything else?

 

the later years Tech meant Navi and Backup. I meant that those are the things nobody should be buying an RL without.

CMBS is non essential.

 

The 05 had no options, CMBS and ACC were not available then.

 

I think most 2006 owners are non-tech package, btw. We have the nav, but not the rear-view, radar cruise and PAX

 

ok then I need someone with an 07 or 08 rl without navigation to please, PLEASE, take a picture of the cd rom/dvd rom drive they have mounted in the top of their trunk on the drivers side.

You can find this by searching the RL Audio, Bluetooth, Electronics & Navigation forum. Someone posted a disassembly of the base 2007 RL, changing it to a standard navi system. The information is definitely posted.

 

I have read that post and it does not contain pictures of the factory non-nav drive.

I am thinking you are referring to my post and someone kindly but incorrectly posted a picture of an 05 which all had navigation.
