There has been many thread on the "flickering" head lights, do a quick search.

If not, here is the latest thread:

The general consensus "fix" has been replacement HID bulbs (another member has stated Inverters), I have a service appointment tomorrow for the same problem. Hopefully I can get more detail from the service tech and get it all cover under my CPO warranty.

On my last visit, when they couldn't duplicate the problem. The service writer said that if it was the HID bulbs it would NOT be cover under warranty as blubs are consider nomral wear and tear?

However after looking at the Acura CPO content i found this:

Warranty CoverageAcura will repair or replace any part that is defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
All repairs or replacements under this warranty will be made free of charge with no deductible.
The repaired or replaced parts are covered until the Acura Certified Pre-Owned Limited Warranty expires.
See your dealer for full program details.

I think i will print this out, as HID bulbs burning out in less then 3 years would be consider defective? No?

This has been covered multiple times already. The quoted threads above pretty much cover things.

The subject looks like another candidate for the Garage.

Thanks you all for the feedback, I am taking it to the dealer tomorrow, if they won't replace the parts for free I will have to talk to Acura customer service about goodwill, I did it once before with the AC Stator and they paid for it all.

The bulbs and the igniter are NOT covered by warranty. However, I successfully argued that burning out in less than 4 years is defective considering $200 per bulb adn Dealer replaced under "good will". Many others got bulbs replaced for free by Dealer as well.
I'd print out some of the flicker threads adn show it to your dealer.

Flickering light

Well I got the dealer to check out the problem for free. They got Acura to pay for 75% of the repair. They don't know if it's the Ballast or the Ignitor at this point. They are keeping the car over night. If it's both it's a $1500 repair if its the Ballast $600. Pretty good of Acura to pay for 75% on a car that's 4 years old with 62500 miles. I have had BMW and Audi and they would never do anything for my on their shitty cars. I will never buy another brand than Acura, they are awesome for taking care of me when they did not have to. Acura owner for life now, I tell you!!!

Ok funny now they are telling me that the right side started flickering my service advicer is going to ask if Acura can pay 100% as this is a big problem if your driving down the road and it's dark. We all need to file a complaint to get Acura to do a recall on this problem please go to this site and file a complaint like I did;

Ok so the problem is fixed Acura paid 75% and my bill was $176.31 the item replaced was a HEADLIGHT CONTROL UNIT, they replaced the right and the left. The part number is 33129-SJA-J01, if you have the same problem make sure you have your dealer swap out the item before start replacing expensive light bulbs and other items.
