I gotta look on eBay again for the DRLs I want them for sure but I don't wanna pay the. 150 I think the price was .. Ali express had them for 90 bucks I believe and for 60 dollars I could wait an extra week or so

Tonight or tomorrow I'm gonna post some links to where people can buy the bulbs directly without having to do all this crazy research since some links in this thread don't work.. In the meantime feel free too post some links ahead of time

One of my Vled drl's is already going out on me. Not what I expected for the price I paid.

I had passenger side replaced under warranty few weeks ago.
It was flickering and couldn't figure out if it was due to bulb or box.

Curious, how long have you guys had your bulbs for?

Understandably the DRL's will get used more than low-beams especially in the summer months. On days like today where it started off pretty cloudy, I typically turn on my low beams. I cannot recall what the warranty is on these bulbs but I'd be upset if my bulbs stopped working in under a year. I'm approaching a year of using these bulbs and I expect they last for awhile.

Bump

This is next to do, I run my HID Lamps/Fogs all day but it causes static with the radio when the Fogs are on, so I want to run LED DRLs.. this is strictly a appearance mod I'm not looking to lighten up the road at all

I saw on VLED a pair of bulbs are 65 plus shipping but on ebay they are half .. I need 850lm and 50-60watts
http://pages.ebay.com/motors/link/?n...122860&alt=web
I don't know if I need the harness but it is quality

Even though my model was discontinued, they sold me a spare in their warehouse for $20.

If they really are 1220 LM, that is brighter than the high beam.

You only need one resistor, and 6 ohms is unnecessarily low. You can run 100 ohms on one side and the car won't error.

MyAcuraRL, do they match up with the original oem low beams? Are there any other options with color/temperature of bulb, like 5000K or 6000K?

Hello people, so i read about the mt-g2 chip in this thread and below is the closest thing i could find on aliexpress. I wonder if this would work as high beam/drl without resistors?

So i followed projektvertx's advice and asked retrofitsource about their morimoto 2stroke led bulb and this is what i got back:

''Thanks for the message. The DRL is a pulsed voltage so that will cause the LED to flicker badly. To fix the pulsed voltage you'd need to run a capacitor to smooth that back out to a constant 12v. But a constant 12v means that it would essentially be in high beam at all times.

As an alternative we have Osram's Halogen bulbs that have a coating to be a much more pleasant color. They do have very similar performance to the stock halogen bulbs but again much nicer color and also don't have to worry about the pulsing issue that troubles LED and HID:
https://www.theretrofitsource.com/bu...unlimited.html

Thanks again and just let us know if there's anything else we can do to help!

Charlie @ TRS''

I got these when they were on sale for $39 at Amazon, in my 2005 RL. They work great. I will say one in the first set had a connectivity issue, but the company quickly sent a new set (yep, I have a spare now). No problem with flickering, no DRL warning. I can post pics if anyone is interested.

Amazon Amazon

Just noticed they are on sale today, $39.

So, they work as DRL and high beam both without warning on dash?

Fow what it’s worth, I still have the same V-LED lights that I started this thread with. I transferred them into my TL and they’re still going strong. They’re worth the money.

I guess I will wait till these come out and then wait for a sale to try them. That may take some time. Lol.

I am planing replacing my low beams hid on my 2011 RL with the Osram 66240 CBI.
The current factory bulbs are not as white and bright as before, I am guessing because of age and I am not sure if I want to wait until they start flickering.
If some have used these HIDs please say your opinions.
Thank you

VLeds is now shipping this replacement for DRL/Hi beam that fits Acuras.

R5 HIGH/LOW DRL MICRO WITH VOLTAGE BOOSTER KIT - Acura - 9005 HB3 - Daytime Running Lights - Shop Application

I like to ask anyone who installed these pls let us know if the hi beam does throw a long and bright beam as compared to the stock bulbs and is the DRL too bright ?
Leds that give out a normal DRL brightness has little or no high beams and leds that gives a strong high beam puts a way too bright DRL.

I think this is the link: 6 XTE-2 HB3 9005 H10 9145 LED DRL LIGHT BULBS

Their site is weird because they want the car info at the top completed.

That said, if you are spending three digits I think these are the best.

I think they are on back order at the moment, but worth the wait.

These don't have enough Lumens to use as High beams IMO.
