The new LMZ models are replacing the MT-G2 lineup and are the next generation of these bulbs. The LMZ models are available in either 3000LM or 4500LM output and are adjustable for both position and direction. The ability to adjust the bulbs within the headlight housing alone makes them worth it IMO.
BTW, still 4 more hours to get the Cyber Monday pricing on the site. I placed a big ass order this morning and took care of all of my light needs for the TL for the foreseeable future.
Bad news from V-LEDS, bros. The LMZ series is not suitable for use as a DRL because of the voltage requirements and I have canceled my for the 3000 LU LMZ. I would suggest that it may be time to go find whatever MT-G2 models you can find, I did. I'm told that the MT-G2s came from the factory with the driver to take them down to the 4V requirement for DRLs so we should be good to go. Good luck---
BDogg did the research that convinced me we might finally have a good solution to the "yellow" DRL's and found the bulbs to do the deed. Then, Turk found the same set up on Aliexpress for $110.
I was too impatient to wait for VLED's to have a low enough sale so I took a chance and ordered from Aliexpress in China based on Turk's recommendation.
The bulbs took 10 days to get here but as near as I can tell they are EXACTLY the same ones sold by VLED. They are plug and play. Low power DRL works great, High beam works great, no warning lights tripped, no hacked wiring. You just plug in to the wiring harness that used to go to the standard bulb and then from the small drivers to the wires coming from the new LED's. Perfect.
They look good. I haven't yet had a chance to compare night time brightness of the high beam pattern to previous bulbs but I expect the output to be at least as good as the original which I never found to be exceptional.
Still no replacement from VLEDs. Has anyone who bought the aliexpress.com lights had any problems?
I never heard such a problem from any Honda / Acura and didn't believe that actually.
Disconnected everything to remove V-LED components and found the stupid problem as my video shows:
I've had issues with my set from VLEDs "flickering". Discovered that if I jiggled the connector I could recreate the issue, so I suspected something like what you found Türk.
Thanks for the info... when it's warmer, I might pull them out and fix them.
I finally got my MT-G2 5000K 3600 LU bulbs from AliExpress after a month + in shipping and they work as advertised. I also ordered a 6000K spare kit off eBay for $90, seller is named auto-toppower who just happens to be the same seller on AliExpress. I'm pretty pleased so far.
I've tried 6 times and AliExpress will not verify my payments for "security reasons"

This is the seller stevieray mentioned. Do these look like the same lights? They have the same specs.
How do these look as DRL's? Post up pics with these on but not as high beams. My guess is that they will still have the dull yellowish look but I may be wrong.

I think that's what most people here were reporting after installing any kind of "hyper white" halogen bulb, that at the lower power as DRL's there really wasn't a difference.

I ordered these for my '12 TL and realized the description says 5000-6000k for the temperature. Anyone with these know if these burn at 5k or 6k that have them installed? I'm still awaiting their arrival from China I was just curious and some pictures would be helpful too!
i just wanted to double check if they were legit, but from what kmcheney says, it's a legit kit. and, i may have to go ahead and purchase it. does anyone have pictures of how this kit looks??
Ordered 2 sets of 45W 4500LM from China which look (and pretty sure ARE) identical to the V-LED LMZ. They were mounted in my friend's Chevy Silverado and my RL as high beam and DRL. These are incredibly bright and a nice color (6000K). Under half of the price of V-LED. No errors. No flickering. Very pleased. I'll try and get an evening pic soon. But, picture wouldn't do it justice I don't think. Huge difference when I tried them side by side with the halogen. I have never doubted that VLED or iJDMToy just repackages LEDs from China and adds their markup. I think the only benefit of using them is assurance of product accuracy and potential customer service. To some, they will pay for peace of mind while others don't mind rolling the dice to save some dough.
I just got these http://www.ebay.com/itm/151598551100?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and they do not work. Gotta try something else.
in late April and received them two weeks later. Just put them in today and they work great as both DRL's on the low power and then they go big with the high beams!
Thanks to BDoggPrelude for starting this thread and finding what works. I have studied this thread and pm'd a few other folks on here, thanks to you guys too. Install was a challenge for me since I am a noob but Azine helped. Thanks to Azine, I knew to install the passenger side bulb first since that would be easier, and then I also knew that I may have to pull the battery for the drivers side, which I did. But really these are great, plug and play, they look very sharp, no extra wiring or converters or anything involved.
I just got my RL yesterday and wanna do some tasteful mods.. so i went ton VLED and i went to buy the DRLs LMZ 9005 H10 9145 25W 3000LM HIGH OUTPUT LED HEADLIGHTS FOG LIGHTS
as i get ready to buy them i see on the bottom of the page these arent made for DRLs? so these are a no go anymore? i dont want the 200 dollar kit btw
than i went on ali express because i saw a couple people post in here about the cheaper prices for essentially the same product and i cant get any links to open as current or view on a desktop
anyone have a current link that will work? I just want to match my DRLs so they have some form of new light to them
LMZ kits use bulbs that only runs at full power.
given most DRL have 600LM, if you were to use either 3000 or 4500LM, you'll most likely blind all on-coming traffic.
I was lucky to jump on when they had G2 DRL kit.
I actually talked to them yesterday and they said it's in the works to come with new DRL product with alternating voltage, but they don't have time frame.
I'm more curious to see if we can run 4500LM LMZ kit where our low-beams go.
AliExpress is your best bet, also look on eBay for the same thing. Search for "Super Bright 9005 9006 LED Headlights CREE MT-G2 36W 3600lm Auto Car 12V Light" on either site.
Just be prepared to get emails for life from AliExpress.
