Keyless Start / Entry
My ‘07 RL won’t start without the actual key inserted. Both Fobs will not work. I looked at fuse 7 and it is good. I took it to the dealer and they say the keyless access unit and RF Unit are both shorted. They want $1800 to fix it. When I grab the handle the LED on the FOB rapidly flashes. Any ideas? Anyone replace either unit with success?

My amateur opinion is water leaked somewhere and shorted things out..
Maybe disconnect the handle with the issue and try again. And make sure your fuse 7 is the correct Amperage. Someone around here decided to put 30 for the hell of it. i think it should be 10.

Verified the fuses are correct amperage and good. Now car won't start at all even with the key.
