Keyless Entry System Not Working Properly

I have an '08 RL, and for whatever reason, when I put my hand on the driver's door, it unlocks, but the rest of the doors don't. On my old '07 RL, whenever I'd put my hand on the driver's door, it would unlock all the doors on the car, but my new RL isn't doing that for whatever reason. What's strange is that the shotgun door works just fine. I took it to the dealer for a diagnosis but they couldn't find anything. Everything was working properly according to them. It's a really annoying issue having to constantly use the interior switch to unlock the other doors. Not only that, but when shifting into park, the doors aren't unlocking like they did on my '07 RL. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm pretty sure this is a setting in the MID.

The little digital display under the speedometer is called "MID" for Multi Information Display. It's basically the trip computer info, as well as SH-AWD status, tire pressure info, etc. It also allows you to configure all sorts of stuff about the car like, default behavior for steering wheel retraction, length of time the interior lights stay on after a door is closed, length of time the headlights stay on after engine shut off, door lock operations, auto door lock when starting up, etc. You enter this configuration mode by pushing the "up" button on the steering wheel. Note this "up" button as a little "i" symbol on it. All of the settings in the MID are saved to the key be used. So each key can have it's own preferences set.

You see my dealer told me I should be able to configure stuff like that on that screen but we scrolled through everything and there was nothing pertaining to car settings. All the MID shows me are technical stuff like oil life, range, tire pressure, etc. I can't find any options for doors and such.

Here's how to get to the settings within the MID:
  1. Turn on car to at least the "second" position in the ignition.
  2. Hold the "up" button (with the "i" symbol) for about 3-5 seconds.
  3. The display will now change to a settings menu where you can adjust all the things I mentioned earlier.
