keyfob problem?

So today I got in the car and tried to turn on the car, but it wouldn't let me turn the key thing. It would only turn about 1millimeter, and the steering wheel would tilt down and the welcome screen would turn on for a quick second, then it would tilt back up and wouldn't let me turn the key. but after wiggling it back and forth for a good minute it finally just let me turn it on. Right afterward it would turn on and off really easily. I drive the car everywhere and it would work perfectly, then it would randomly do it again maybe a few days later.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Is is the car not sensing the keyfob is in the car? or is it the turning thing thats malfunctioning? I'm still under waranty so I'm probably going to take it to Acura soon, but i'm afraid they're gonna turn me away because i cannot replicate it on the spot.

is the steering wheel getting locked? Next time it happens try hanging some pressure on the left side of the wheel when you try to start it and the key does not want to turn.

no. steering wheel is not locked. the only thing thats locked is the key from turning. i get it to work eventually by twitching it back and forth a few times.

I brought a keyfob into the dealer to be programmed and the next day it had that same issue. I thought it was the batteries so I swapped them out with the ones in my other keyfob and the problem didn't go away. I took it back to the dealer and they ran some tests on it and concluded it could no longer hold programming.

Happened to me few times also... But i figured that I started to turn the knob before it recognizes the remote. To fix it, I locked the doors by pressing button on the remote, the unlock it by remote, close the door and voila! - I could turn the knob

Try unlinking both remotes, then relink them both and see what happens. Instructions in the OM
