American Honda Motor Co., Inc., posted January total vehicle sales of 71,031, a decline of 30.7 percent compared to January 2008. Honda Division posted January sales of 63,175, a decline of 30.5 percent versus January 2008 on a daily-selling rate* basis.

"Two models posted gains, but we are still facing unprecedented times in the industry, and no auto company is immune from current market conditions," said Dick Colliver, executive vice president of sales for American Honda.
Honda total car sales decreased by 31 percent, to 35,601. Fit sales increased 1.8 percent to 4,745. Honda light-truck sales saw a decrease of 29.7 percent to 27,574.

The Fit is "Go". So, apparently, is the TSX (better mileage + cheaper=more sales).

200 RLs a month is about par for the course recently.

Low sales mean cheaper prices for the consumers, it's not all bad.

Maybe demise of V8, but maybe they would finally realize to get with the program. Horsepower is a bit lame for 3.7L, 5 speed transmission? How about a DSG setup! Did I mention I'm getting 12mpg?

I'll live since I got a good deal, but I never considered getting an RL at full price, never ever.

No, all the mid- and high-grade luxury cars are selling badly. It's not just the RL.

Cutting production is what happens. Prices are down everywhere not just for the unpopular models.

I'd agree that out of all the Acuras now the TSX is the least unattractive. I saw one the other day and it looked pretty good.
