I have noticed that on my 07 RL, when I open the doors at night, only the blue LED's are lit and the car is very dark inside. Is there something I'm missing here? Are there any other lights that can be set to come on when you open the car in the dark?

 

Do you have your dome lights set to illuminate when the door is opened or unlocked?

 

Apparently not. I didn't see that option in the manual. i'll look again.

 

In the overhead console, press the center button (DOOR). The dome lights will come on when the door is opened or unlocked.

I am going thru the manual and I don't see where there is an option for this. It does say that all interior lights should come on so I guess mine is not working.

 

Sorry, I'm stupid. I figured it out. I did not have the "door" button pushed. Thanks.

 

I wondered what that button was for!

 

The other thing I noticed, although it may be the rendering through the camera, is that the blue LEDs on the parchment interior, as Touge has, is quite a bit brighter than in the ebony interior that I have. I don't believe the LEDs to be different, I just think the ebony swallows up (absorbs) all that blue light, and very little is reflected back, as in the picture Touge has of his interior.

I definitely need that door light on.
