Installed my Intake!

Just installed my Short Ram Intake on my RL. Definitely makes it more fun to drive. You won't hear the intake until you start flooring the car, which is perfect to me.

Yes I put a custom bracket for it which also came with the Intake. Light bending of the brackets was required to fit.

037 I'm a little worried about the placement of the Intake and water. I've attached a picture of what I mean.

Can someone chime in this and let me know if Water will hit the Filter due to Rain or Washing of the car? I would think that water would flow in, when the hood is closed and drip into the intake filter.

I still have the plastic cover over it, never really thought about the water, but I don't think any ever got in.

You won't get enough water in to do any damage. Don't worry.

I would have to say the responsiveness in the acceleration is much better. As for power..... It does feel faster and more responsive. I especially like it flooring it in second gear and at about 5300rpm the VTEC kicks in.

I've had no problems with it. For the sensor in the back of the intake it fits snug right into the inlet. The inlet on the K&N typhoon CAI for the 04 Acura TL has a rubber fitting in the inlet where you can snug in the sensor perfectly. TLMASTER can vouch this one too.
