Hey guys, my name is Jeremy. I have an 05 RL in redondo red, and a white 2006 wrx stage3. Basically, im really new to the acura thing, and i dont know much about my RL so im here to learn, but im deffinately not new to cars. The RL is an amazing car, i love it. All i have right now is an intake i made. I am hoping to get some wheels (the AME's look sooooo good), UD pulley, mugen spoiler, 5zigen exhaust, and suspension. I am also a photographer and take TONS of pictures. Saddly, i dont have many of the RL, but that will change soon. Anyway, im new, and look forward to learning more about the 2nd gen RL

There are a few of us who have modded their RLs, so you're in good company here.

 

Nice color on the outside, whatcha' got inside? If you don't have one yet, look into the wood steering wheel. It's not real wood, but it's so comfortable in your hands.

 

yeah, i was really happy to see there were other people modding theirs. I was at HIN in san mateo this year and i saw the Spoon racing RL and decided mine needed SOMETHING. haha. And then in Super Street i saw an add for 5zigen exhaust, googled it, and came across your videos which is how i found AZ.

 

thanks, sounds good to me. only problem is, i dont know ANY websites to find parts for this car other than visionary which i saw on here already and those RonJon wheels. so PLEASE link me to sites with parts!

 

Welcome to the site! Try checking out member id: touge (his RL was recently on the BM for sale). This was a nice & heavily modded RL....just there...

 

touge IS from Visionary. I bought my CAI and exhaust from him for decent prices for my dyno experiment (see link to "my car" in my signature). I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in already.

Excelerate is also a site vendor and the most relevant product he sells for us is the Unorthodox Racing pulley. It turns out that both the underdrive and the modded stock-size pulleys from the J32 engine (TL) fit ours.

yay! more ppl local! let me know when and where the meets are! i'll try to make it out. and yeah, i made the intake, no way is it legal, but i mean, what are the chances of the hood getting popped on this kinda car, especially compared to my suby. haha

 

haha yea i know what you mean but once you start modding it with rims, tint and exhaust then the po-po will be watching you. kinda is how im thinking with the xs headers but i dont wanna take the chance.

Damn man! Must be nice to have those toys of yours at 19!! Check out the Bay Area meets section when you have the chance so you'll know when the next meet will be. I believe for now it's being set for 12/8, but that's still tentative. Lookin' forward to maybe meeting you there....

 

yeah, that meet may be a possibilty. we'll see. And yeah, i'm glad im fortunate enough to have things like this at 19. took a lot of hard work and still is, but its paid/paying off

 

how the hell do you have an RL and an STI when your 19?? i didnt even read anything on here, but scrolled to respond...either stop taking out your daddy's toys, stop improving your skills on photoshop, or stop doing illegal things...or just stop making money!! lol WELCOME! nice cars btw.

 

lol @ daddy's toys. if i had a dad, im sure id still have better toys. mom has her own toys. these are what ive worked and saved for. but thanks haha

nice subie..just wondering, do you go to college? if you do, aren't you worried that your RL might be keyed by jealous college students?

 

ive seen a RL at my college..my city college. but i dont know if its a kid that drives it.

 

Sweet WRX! Can't wait to see what you do to your RL. I've doen 5Zigen Exhaust, CAI, Underdrive Pulley and 5Zigen SC3000 Rims. I'd REALLY like to see someone tune the ECM on this bad boy....That could produce some serious gains! Welcome to AZ and I think it's cool as all get out that at 19 you're rollin' in an RL and WRX!

 

haha, thanks i deffinately dont see any/many teens in RL's but i love this car. its sooooo luxury, but still has a sporty touch to it. and if its not sporty enough on some days, thats when the old suby come out. haha.
