I-024: electrical interface feedback problem
hey guys its been awhile since ive been on.
anyways i could use some help.
one day i started my car up and the interface feedback was set to AUTO.
to get there u start at the setup button then you'll see interface feedback with the choice of OFF / AUTO /ON
anyways when it is on, when you change the radio station it will verbally read it back to, etc etc. same with climate controls and oh my favorite it will tell you to put your seat belt on. anyways, story is that i have to manually turn it OFF every single time i turn my car on. i mean everytime, even if the car is turned off for 5 seconds. it just happened less than a month ago, and havn't called acura or brought it in yet, no time. has anyone experienced this before??

The FOB is a transmitter. Not only does it lock/unlock, start and arm/disarm the alarm, but it stores the personal settings of the RL for each driver / FOB (Driver 1 and Driver 2).
All of the personal settings (stereo settings & presets, NAVI address book, NAVI settings (including the feedback settings), seat and steering wheel memory settings (Mem1 & Mem2), climate control settings, etc) are mapped to the particular FOB that the car senses. This you can have an entirely different catalog of settings for FOB 1 (Driver 1) and FOB 2 (Driver 2).
Should the FOB loose it's link with the RL, any one or all of these settings may default to the factory setting. By re-linking the FOB (instructions are on the FOB itself) you should recover the presets you had previously made (or at least they should be retained going forward).
Since the FOB is a transmitter it's communication with the RL can be interrupted or corrupted. It has been reported that a cell phone, security badge, security gate transmitter and even cell phone chargers in close proximity to the FOB can interfere with it's communication to the RL. This is mentioned in the manual as well.
We tend to be come so accustomed to the RLs intuitive features and settings, when they hiccup, we are at a loss.

...as in remote control key fob. The usage definition has evolved over time to include our remote keyless access system device

2. a short chain or ribbon, usually with a medallion or similar ornament, attached to a watch and worn hanging from a pocket.

and as opposed to Freight On Board
