How well is the RL selling

Saw a nice looking silver one in the driiveway of a guy who lives a block from me. Asked him how he liked it. He was being like too cool -- said "everybody likes their new car."
It did look good, but I was kinda pissed that the dude didn't seem to really appreciate what he had.

Well based on who you talk to or which forum you browse it seems the RL is not selling as well as Acura had hoped for. I have purchased three Acuras ('01 MDX, '02 TL-S, and '04 MDX) from the same dealership and have a good relationship with the Sales Manager. I was in for the MDX's service on Monday and spoke with him about the RL - he said sales were very slow (he said the MDX and TL were their "money makers"). He said he could get me a good deal on the RL. We left it at that for now.
As you can see from my sig line I traded the '02 TL-S for an '04 FX35. I "thought" I wanted a higher seating sporty SUV and Acura made none (Editorial comment: I doubt the RDX will suffice either
). I don't regret getting the FX per se, however I am missing the sedan style (as opposed to SUV) ride. So the RL has caught my eye.
He said he could get me a good deal on an RL - what is a good deal? I have read the Costco thread saying $45,806 and I have a dealer (not MY dealer - I'm waiting on that) quote now of $46,800. However Costco is ~$1500 over invoice and the other quote is ~$2500 over. That seems too much to pay for a car that is not selling well. What is a god price?

I think it depends on where you live. When I checked Edmonds for a price in the DC metro area, they implied that their TMV price was near MSRP. If it is any help, I bought my RL last week for about $48K including the rubber all-weather mats, wood shift knob, cargo net, wheel locks (which my car dealership puts on every Acura anyway), splash guards, rear spoiler and back up sensor. I'm positive you can get it for less where you are, though.
I received an email from my dealer late yesterday that says that "due to limited factory incentives and large inventory of RL's" they can make me a deal. It went on to say that this is a "limited time offer and is subject to end without notice."
Does anyone have any idea what the details on this factory incentive is? I'd like more info before I call them.
I could not find anything on Edmunds or Acura about this.
