How long do you have to wait to get an appointment with a loaner?

For Acura of Bellevue, it takes 8 days. I just called them to schedule the safety recall and a few other things, like squeaking brakes and the burning smell, the earliest available day is in 8 days. I asked, what if my car catches fire, then the receptionist said "on we can get you in sooner, but without a loaner."

I think they changed ownership recently and I used to be able to get appts in just a couple of days, not 8 days.

I am starting to dislike my local dealer now.

My wife is much satisfied with her Audi experience and we are even more satisfied with our Lexus experience.

For those that go to Acura of Bellevue, how has your experience been?

I'm guessing it's dependent on your local dealer. I called in 1 or 2 days before to schedule my appointment and I was able to get a loaner.

Edit: But i can also attest to Lexus service. I always got a loaner, no questions or problems.

Same with me. I'm sure much depends on how large of a loaner fleet they have.

When i took my RL in for the timing belt and water pump I had to call a week before. I think it does depend on the loaner fleet size, as stated above.

While expecting a loaner should require an appointment....I have usually been able to make appointments with 1 or 2 days notice. My Service Manager knows me well enough to suggest an appointment where he can offer me the choice of the loaner. I very much appreciate that.

As much as I love my RL...if I did not have a very good dealership experience, I would have shopped elsewhere.

Never more than a day or two. If I want something specific, perhaps longer but I usually get a TL which for a day, is fine.

At least 10 days at Elite Acura in Maple Shade, NJ. They always give you one, even for trivial service, but you have to WAAAAAAAIIIIIIIT for it.

Back when it was Sussman Acura, it was 3 days at the most.

And the best you can get is a TL.

At the dealer I go to it used to be 1 day....they just were sold to another company, and I'm going in for B12 and the power steering recall soon, so I'll find out.

One thing I noticed...when I go in there with my G/F's RDX for service...it's indifferent...when I take the RL(which I didn't even buy there) it's a$$ kissing every where I go.

I usually schedule my service a few days in advance and I've never had trouble with an Acura loaner at my dealership. I don't know what the size of their loaner fleet is, but it makes sense that one has to call a few days in advance to ensure one.

I guess most people report about 1-3 days for their appts with loaners. My dealer needs to get more loaner cars. Or maybe, it's because I didn't buy my RL there? But I always bring my RL and used to bring my old TL to the same dealership for service...

I used to get a loaner without much notice (usually 1-3 days) but... the thing that bothered me was they would make me bring it in one day to figure out what the problem was...and bring it back to have it fixed. (at least the problems I had... and whenever they would need to order parts). At the Lexus dealer I now use, I had a problem with an O2 sensor...and evidently the part is on some-sort of national-back-order. The car is still drive'able but they put me in an 08 Rx350 and they've told me to enjoy it until my part gets in (Which right now is scheduled for Feb 9th). I know my Acura dealer would have made me pick up my RL and continue to drive it until the part came in.

UW RL - you might want to look into going to Acura of Seattle ( South Center ) I used to go to them all the time, only took maybe a couple of days at the most w/ a loaner. They have had the same ownership for a few years now, so I doubt anything has changed. If you don't mind driving a little, then I would suggest Acura of Lynnwood, they really are good and they don't overcharge like Bellevue does, because they are just horrible in that respect.

Usually a week for me. Not the best, but could be worse. A few years back they always hooked me up with Enterprise rentals the same day. Not any more!!

Later,

Yeah, Acura of Bellevue is horrible. I bought my RL from Acura of Seattle, and also my old TL in 2000. Last time I brought my RL to Acura of Bellevue because there was a rattling noise coming from the windshield/dash area and they thought that it was from my CAI. They told me to "tighten things up" myself or I can spend big bucks so they can diagnose if it's really from the CAI.
