How to change brake pads under warranty?

I heard of the squeaky brake method but my vin is not included in it... Any other tricks?

Probably not just normal wear & tear. Buy a beemer if you want all service paid for up front.

A few dealers will fix them for "good will", but honestly, you should expect to pay for normal wear and tear. Anything else is not honest.

Not so sure I'd call the TSB a "method" for getting brake pads replaced for free. Those of us who've had it done had legitimate noise issues. I'd guess the cars with the excluded VINs were built with the replacement parts.

What, are used 05 prices low enough for high school age buyers with part-time jobs?

I'd worry more about safety, taking care of a nice car, and paying for gas than cheating on brake repairs.
