If one could get the Acura logo onto the Honda Legend grille, that grille design would be tempting. It has a good family resemblance with the TL and TSX, and I think the added chrome would brighten up the front of my silver car.

I had my Amuse bodykit painted and took it to the dealer, to find out that the entire bodykit is made out of fiberglass, and a bodyshop is where i should go.
I have few picture here for the bodykit while it was being worked on.
I also installed the door sills and custom center caps.
Enjoy and i'll keep everyone updated.

P.S
As for the shifter conversion, i received the wrong shifter bezzle (Japanese with right hand drive) and just order a new one which shall arive in about 10 days.

i like some of the things you have done, but i'm not feeling the "jdm conversion". it looks pretty cheap. and those rims just do nto flow imo, maybe with a drop it would be different, but they make the car look cheap as well. not sure why, but they look like they belong on a lower class car.

i personally love all your mods.. I have a few more performance and luxury mods I would like to do on mine and then do the jdm conversion last. I too have an nbp aspec rl. I love that we have the jdm option unlike all the other acura people with the exception of the tsx owners.

I totally disagree with you.
If you actually compare the JDMparts i have replaced with the Acura ones, Acura looks cheaper.
an example is the JDM headlight, believe it or not, the turnng raduis is better than USDM and looks cealner, and i'll add the brake caliper and door sills.
But, to each thier own.
Much respect

like i said, i like some of the mods, and the headlights ARE one of them, i love cleared over amber. but the "legend" and "honda" stuff, not liking it. thats like when you see a TL over here with the badging for Inspire, or a G35 w/ SKYLINE, etc.

I don't think your analogy is acurate. "Inspire" and "Skyline" are not vehicle names that have been sold here in the US. "Legend" is what the car really is and people know the Legend from the past. There IS (or was) such thing as an Acura Legend.

Perhaps your associating 'Honda' as being an inferior(cheap) brand. And converting to the JDM style degrades the car. To each their own, but I think converting to JDM shows that you are proud of your car and want to show its true origins. Plus theres a certain allure about it.

By the way, do you know that our RL's are a downgrade from the Legend?
Everytime i look at an RL with the front Acura emblem, i feel better with what i have on.

EXACTLY, the RL is NOT the Legend. i am well aware it is what the acura legend has become, but it is not the legend that is sold across the seas. my analogy still stands, its like putting a skyline badge on a g35. its not the same car, so why pretend it to be?

The Legend and the RL are the same car, and anything that the RL fall short off, can be added. I'm only adding what i want, ex: JDM shifter which will be done sometime in the coming two weeks.
power folding mirrors, headlamp washers, cooled seats....all these can simply be added because its the same car.
The same with Skyline and G35, its the same car so modifying it or converting it to what it actually is, is no problem at all, because everything is plug and play.
If you say Audi A8 and VW Pheaton, then i'll say its a problem because they ARE two DIFFERENT cars.
The Rl's existence depend on the Legend, without the Legend there is no RL.

Cool

Qatar,

You do it right!

I am more than happy to achnowledge the RL as a LEGEND. Most people know what a LEGEND is but do they know what an RL is?

I would love to retrofit some of the LEGEND features into my RL, starting with the name, the simplest of all (just one name badge and floormats...hmmm who knows how to get LEGEND floor mats?). The shifter, cooled seats and headlamp washers are high on my lust list...but that night vision would be awesome!

Many owners of Eurpopean brands like to Euro-ize them as well. Acknowledging a car's roots is just fine by me. Besides, it is YOUR ride. Until somebody decides to pay for your ride, it is mere opinion anyway. Otherwise unless asked for feedback,...shaddup!

Your RLEGEND is art. And I, for one appreciate your work, taste and generosity sharing it with us.

What i was trying to establish regarding the Legend/RL being two different cars comes down to this...
If your in Japan and rebadged your Legend as a RL, it falls under what CleanCL called "not the same vehicle" becaue the Rl is based on the Legend and not the other way around.
I believe we are lucky with the RL's, because we can upgrade so many things, but our fellow Japanese cannot do more than just rebadging.
The cooled seat mod is next, i'll contact A&J and see if they can arrange this modification for me, i'll just get the parts from Canada since its available in thier RLs

Good job Qatar! This looks to be a left hand drive floormat. Is there a need to specify right and or left hand drive layout? Obviously the footwells and dead pedal placement would affect the floormat template.

Qatar your jdm conversion looks amazing. Im not embarrassed to tell people mines a honda. In fact when they do ask about it i referr to it as "my honda" So dont let these haters with american built acuras bring you down. We have the cream of the crop honda and they can just get over it.

I believe you need to specify the drive layout, because i've done so many mistakes in the last couple of months ordering parts from Japan to find out that they only work on right hand Legend.
I have a freind in Hungary who has access to Honda and he ordered all these parts for me. Whenever you order, you should look for a counrty to uses left hand drive.

All the body shops i cunsolted dont want to deal with fiberglass, and i'm stuck now.
Does anybody know a highend shop in Northern VA, DC MD who can perform this without messing anything

Alright, the bodyshop attemptedd to install the side skirts, but i found that i'll need to stock ones (i have A-SPEC skirts).
So, i'll either buy new ones or swap with someone who is interested in A-SPEC side skirts.
Anyone?

As for the JDM engine cover, it came with an Acura emblem for some reason (they dont have Acura were i ordered it from) and i still wonder what happened.
What i'll is replace the emblem.

I ordered the correct engine conver emblem today and should have it by next week.
i'm afriad i'll end up with a huge surrplus.
Anyhow, the Legend floor mats consist of 5 pieces, and not 4 like the RL.
The fifth piece goes on top of the rear middle hump and has pins on both side that attach to the rear passenger mats.
