I went to Honday Day this year and one of the judges told me that in the 4 years judging he's never seen one in the show.

It didn't take me long to realize that my RL was nowhere as flashy as all the show cars.

I guess I was going for the more subtle sophisticated look vs in your face SHOW status.

Some of the cars there seemed like their mods cost more than my car...

Anyway, enjoy the photos!

i went though most of those pics you posted. I know why they have never seen an RL before at that event....b/c everyone else who goes there drives nasty a$$ ricer mobiles.... those cars looks awful!

seriously, the RL is a classy car and those cars in that show have ZERO class....I know they are "show cars" so they are overdone on purpose, but I didn't think any of them looked good.

a ca rlike Blackura's..that coudl be in a show and it looks tasteful and well done. the batman car... that's just stupid.


i'm sure there were some cool people there - like YOU - your RL looks very nice and tasteful... - but in general, that crowd is not the RL type...

This confirms that I'm old. None of those cars were remotely interesting aside from the RL and the S2000.

I looked up on Edmunds.com a 2005 Lexus GS 300 and the front looks excatly like it. Just sad how a Lexus owner would do something like that. If he wanted an Acura/Honda he should have bought one.

Or

He used a Lexus GS front on the car to make it different, I guess, who knows.

Since you took the pick...did you get a closer look on the car to see if it is an Acura/Honda vehicle?

totally agree. Some cars are just plain nasty, kind of sad to see a Honda turned into that. Overkill.

I believe there's something like the Honda Day at the west coast, around early May at Corona...or so I've heard. Could be wrong though.

why anyone would want to try and turn their old TL into an "old" GS is beyond me.... if you calculate the money "wasted" in the conversion/parts/body work - the idiot should have just sold his TL and bought a used GS....

to then take it to a car show and blatantly advertise your stupidity is mind boggling...

reminds me of the Honda Accord i saw, where the owner had removed ALL the Honda/Accord badging, and had replaced them all with BMW roundels...the back, the hood..inside on the dash... as if someone was going to confuse his Accord with a BMW b/c he changed the emblems..
