Help quickly! Front brake pad question!?

I am changing my front brake pads and rotors....okay rotors changed now I went to put on my brake pads. When I recieved my brake pads from amazon a few days ago the box must have came open during shipping and my brake pads where just all over the big box they came in but I think I got everything. So I go to install my front brake pads and I remember reading something about grease going on the back side of the brake pads but my front ones did not come with any grease (my back ones came with two packets). Can I just install the brake pad like this with no grease? Here is what the back of the brake pad looks like...

You have to use that black moly grease on the back. For some reason, Acura does NOT include the grease with the RL front brake pads, but they do for all the other standard pads (like the rears). The easiest thing to do is to just use some of the stuff you have for the rear pads on the front. You should have enough left over to do so. But you definitely want moly lube on the back of those pads!

Thanks! These are akebono pads, does that make any difference? The OEM ones I took off look like they have a metal "shim" or something. The back of this feels like the surface of my mouse pad but a harder material. Can I just put some lube on the back of these pads and call it good?

Yep, just put some lube on and call it good. Even the OEM ones come as one piece. The shim-like metal pieces don't come off, so they are fixed anyways. I just smeared the lube all over the back and call it good.
