I have an 05 RL and sometimes it shifts hard 1st to 2nd, even when coming to a stop or in a corner. I've replaced the motor mounts, trans mounts, output speed sensor. Could the trans really be bad at 226,xxx kms? I can't sell it for 1500, (no buyers), so I'm willing to put 1500 in it to drive it again.

How old is the fluid? Is it dark? Are your pressure switches original?

 

The fluid is a little dark, about 10,000 kms old.and the pressure switches are original. I also heard it could be the throttle position sensor, If I can get the switches and sensor changed for around 800, I'm willing to take a gamble on it.

 

I would start by doing a 3X3 with original fluid and move forward from there. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the car won't start with a faulty throttle position sensor.

 

projektvertx, which pressure switch would govern his 1-2 shift? Might be a pretty surgical answer to his very specific problem.
