Funny Homelink Experience

I'm not sure how common this is but my neighbor came over the other day and asked me if I could use my car to open my garage door to see what would happen. Once I pulled my car out of the garage and hit the button, my neighbor's garage door was opening at the same time as mine.

I'm guessing they were both on the same rolling code when I programmed it. I'm going to try doing it again today to see if it still happens. The funniest part is that my neighbors were yelling at their poor son for leaving the door open the past couple weeks!

No worries, he probably deserved to be yelled at for something.

True! I reprogrammed the homelink and it doesn't do it anymore. Has that happened to anyone else?

Weird. I've owned five cars with Homelink since I moved into my house, my two neighbors have similar garage door openers with rolling codes, and this has never happened to me. Just bad luck for you, I guess.

I wish I could get my Homelink to work that way. I would love to be able to push a button to make my neighbors yell at their kids.

On the other hand, it's the parents that need to be addressed, the kids simply haven't been taught better.

Can Homelink be programmed to taser the parents?
