Fog light bulb question
I just got my RL recently. Noticed that the fogs are very yellow looking, while the headlights have that "xenon" white look..
i'm planning on getting new bulbs..probably some LEDs for the interior, license plates, door lights, etc... and I was also thinking of replacing the bulbs in the fogs....
what do you all recommend to get a more white/bluish HID look to the fogs?

Considering what is involved with replacing them, do yourself a huge favor and buy quality units. I run genuine PIAA bulbs that match my HIDs. The crappy units sold on Ebay will burn out in weeks to months. Their lifetime warranties are hilarious as the shipping for replacements units is more than the price of the bulbs.

Do not get nokya 5000k. not really 5000k color. swapped out for the 7000k and I'll let you know how that compares.
I can testify about Piaa's bulb longevity. Ive had a pair in some h4 conversion housings, and a pair of their driving lights for over 9 years and have yet to fail. Even with leaky h4 housings.
Sad is they really dont make color temp bulbs to match the color output of hid's

An exact match to HID with halogen fogs is difficult. These fogs have a slight hue of blue. They really look good IMHO and the match is good. I know that when I change out my HID's I will go to a slight blue color so the match will even get better.
Note the RL fogs are H11 type halogen bulbs rated at 55 Watts, 12 Volts.

If you are really using them for fog, the yellower the better. If you are using them for something else, such as matching for fashion, or just putting more light on the road, why not replace them with HID units a la 037? It is pretty hard to get halogens to match HIDs. The higher color temps in halogen put out less useful light and the bulbs have a less useful service life because you are burning the filaments at a much higher temperature to get that more blue color, so you lose in light output and service life, not to mention higher cost per bulb.
Simple solution, put more light on the road, get better fog performance at a reasonable price with JDM yellow H11 bulbs.

Does anyone have pics of yellow fogs in use?
I have always hated the halogen look compared to HID in my G1, but the G2 seems OK stock. I like the round bulbs better than the rectangles!!!
