I was one of the posters who complained a while ago about a rattle from my RL. The rattle seemed to be coming from the passenger front vent, above the glovebox.

Well I found out that pressing on the glovebox seemed to solve the problem, so when I recently had my car in for a service I had them check the rattle out and let them know that pressure on the glovebox seemed to help.

The service guy said that I had a broken clip on the right of the glovebox and while he had the glovebox door off, he added sound deadening material behind it...result is that I haven't heard the rattle since.

So, for those of you who also have complained about the rattle from the front air vents, you might want to have your dealer check out the glovebox area.
