Finally picked up an RL

Hi All,

I've been looking around for awhile now and I finally picked up a mint condition, low mileage RL. I had to drive 350 miles to get it, but it was well worth it. I'm still reading the manual and trying to figure out everything.

2007 Acura RL A-SPEC
NBP w/ Ebony interior, only 12k.

I will post up pictures as soon I know how to.

Thanks.

Mind if I ask how much you paid?

And when you say A-Spec, is it full blown a-spec suspension, wheels, and body kit, or just the wheels?

Pics would be nice too!

Yeah I will definately post pics soon. It has the whole A-SPEC package. I got the car for $26300 OTD, hence the reason I drove so far. It was only for sale for less than a week. It was some older gentleman that traded it in for a porsche.

I know he didn't enjoyed the car at all. The salesman said he used it only on weekends but he had a few other cars as well.

Can anyone show me how to post pics.

Thanks

If you have Gmail, click on the "Photos" tab above your email search bar. You can upload photos there with no need to signup somewhere else.

Congrats! Sounds like a good deal.

As far as posting pics goes, Photobucket works for me, it's free to sign up with them.. Congrats on a sweet deal for a sweet car!! What dealership was it? Was it a base, Tech, or CMBS??

I feel you on driving 350 miles for the right car & deal! Once the beak came out in '09, I was scampering around for any leftover new '08's on dealer lots in 2009.. I was lucky to find an '08 NBP Tech (exactly wat I wanted) across the country!! It was just one of a 4 remaining new '08's nationwide according to ebay/autotrader/cars.com (2 Bases that were probably demos with 9xx miles each, 1 Tech, 1 CMBS)..

Congrats on the purchase! I contacted the dealer about that car. I actually thought about having it shipped to PA. It is a really sweet ride! I'm glad someone from this site got it. Enjoy!

I drove 30 miles to get mine. I'm latino and if I can't see it in person and testdrive I can't make a road trip. I'm sure you can find better deals.

What does race have to do with it?

You are also in a prime spot to pick up an RL. I would say 80% of the cars I looked at when I was researching were in the NE, CT & NJ mostly. Another 15% were in the Rockies, UT or CO, and the remaining 5% were scattered. There was only one in TX i was considering, and it was 200+ miles away in Dallas with no CPO. The next closest was my car in Montgomery, AL. I had the requirement that if I were to go over 100 miles to check it out, I had to be CPO.

I just don't do roadtrip to buy a vehicle. I got burned years back with $200.00 for a non refundable deposit. When I saw the vehicle it didn't meet my expectation and decided not buying, race has nothing to but I know a majority of freinds and family that happens to be latinos and they won't buy a vehicle if they can't see them in person but they won't do the extra drive.Going back to op thread finding a vehicle with low mileage it's a good deal and hard to find. Let's see some photos....

Yeah I just saw the car listed on autotrader today as well.. It's definitely a beauty.. I'm not surprised that the dealer is taking their sweet time taking that car off autotrader.. I'm sure they will use it as a 'bait car' at least until the end of the month..

As promised, here are the pictures of my 2007 Acura RL A-SPEC non tech. Car currently has close to 15k.

Things I've done so far:
-Tint windows (30%)
-Upgraded to navigation by swapping DVD unit
-OEM wood steering wheel
-OEM wood grain shift knob

I wanted an RL w/ the tech package but I ran across this beauty and couldn't resist passing it up. I felt much better knowing that it was real easy to upgrade to Navi.

Here a few pix:

I plan to upgrade to some wheels down the line but I want to make sure I find the perfect set.

Thanks,

Sweet ride!! Is that a driver's seat cover in that pic? Where did you get that from? Also are the wood wheels & shifters still available at the dealer (I previously thought they were discontinued)? If so, how much did they charge for that plus install?

Yeah that's what I meant, I was only referring to the knob. What is considered a good price for the wheel plus install? The lowest I saw so far was $429 thru Curry Acura. They are pretty much available at any dealer still right?

I'm loving the aspec badge as well but I'm sure those too are long gone..

Like others have mentioned, the wood knob is discontinued. The wheel can be purchased from any Acura Dealer but there's a vendor on here that's selling it for $395. I installed the wheel myself because it was pretty straightforward according to the instructions.

LoL..that's not a seat cover, it's actually just a black cloth that I cut out to match the seat padding to prevent wear.

I am thinking about doing the 3k HID fogs but don't know how it looks w/ our stock HID at night.

Car looks nice however it needs a minor drop with H&R springs and you will be set. Congratulations, now in this days it's hard to find a low mileage vehicle with a great price.
