Hi guys, I'll just start off by saying that I'm in no position to try to take my door apart to fix this myself and will most likely take this to a shop. Only thing I'm on the fence about is this 2005 car is seeing it's age so I need to make an informed decision as to whether to pour more money into this car or not. The car's door lock was working fine until this morning. It unlocked for my wife to get in to go to the store but when she got there, the driver side door refuses to lock. If you jiggle the lock switch, it is VERY stiff as if it's stuck. I tried to lock it with the key but it turns a little bit but also feels as if something is stuck. The last time I fixed a lock problem, it costed me about $600. I'm not sure if I want to spend that kind of money on this old car.

I did go through a bunch of forum post and they all pointed to the actuator or the actuator motor but in those posts, the owners was able to lock and unlock with the key. I can't even do that. Right now, since the car won't lock, the alarm won't arm and I live in a pretty seedy part of town so I'm not sure what to do. I'd appreciate any advise you can give.
