My door locks are set to lock when the car is in drive and release when shifted into park. This has worked well for the last 6 years except for two occasions when the temps were in the single digits. Nothing like being locked in your car with the windows frozen up and having to drive around until the car warms up enough for the doors to eventually unlock.

Wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them?

 

Do they unlock with the button on the door or your fob?

Mine has intermittent problems unlocking when shifting into park. No cold weather here, so I believe the sensor is going.

However, I can always unlock with the button

 

I think a battery reset is in order. If that doesn't do it, try changing the setting.

Covers 2005 and 2006, sounds like 2006 is a much easier fix than it was in my 2005

 

No, the door switches or the fob would not work to unlock the doors. The first time it happened I had to climb out the window on the passenger side. I agree though, probably not temp related, just happened to me when it was freakin' cold outside.
