DIY Ballast replacement? (photos?)

I have the service manual for taking the bumper off, and some part # for some spare clips in case I break them getting the bumper off, but I am not finding anything on how to get to the ballast itself and replace it. Anyone got any photos?

Couple of questions....

Remove whole bumper or just enough of the side to get at the light? In my case the drivers side.

Also, is it pretty obvious on how to remove the headlight assembly? Not sure on what to expect there...

Do i unhook the battery? First time working on an HID system...first time working on the RL for that matter...I've only had it two weeks....and I have a laundry list of things needing some love...

you should remove the whole bumper since you do need to get to to the bolts below the headlights.
