Disconnecting front ANC Mic Help!!

I have read through a lot of threads about disconnecting the ANC mics (front and rear) to eliminate the feedback issue caused from installing an aftermarket amp and subwoofer. I have disconnected the rear one with no problem, the front on the other hand is extremely hard to pull out after removing the 2 8mm nuts from the assembly.

Does anyone have a detailed step by step tutorial on this process??? The feedback is driving me nuts. Thanks in advance!

I remember that numerous people have disconnected the front ANC mic but I too wished to remove the front assy and I could not get mine off either.
Surely someone has some insight on the roof console removal method?

If you are disconnecting both anyways, your easiest bet is to disconnect the unit from the amp like in the first picture provided here. That is what I did with no issues. This also seems like the easiest way to reconnect everything if you choose to.

The problem with turning it off through the stereo is that it won't save that setting. You will have to do this every time you start.
