anyone have this problem. turn the knob nothing retry about 3 times. starts up fine... not all the time. just started. alarm not set just in my garage... battery pretty new... what is it???

 

It may be the car is not recognizing the Fob? Does the MID display 'Welcome Driver #'? Any low battery (for Fob) indicator on the dash? Do Mem 1 or Mem 2 incators illuminate?

Might be a re-linking the fob issue and or battery replacement needed for the Fob.

Typically, if the car does not recognize the Fob, you cannot even turn the starter. If the starter turns, but no crank,,,,then maybe a car battery connection is the place to start.

 

does it try to start or just click?

 

Used to happen in Legend #1. The starter relay had dry solder joints that needed reflow.

 

I will check batteries in both. I did not notice the mid readout. If happens again I will look. My 05 with 196,000 I am the org owner. I never had one major problem with this car. I was offered last month 13,000 dollars for her. But I am waiting for RLX awd. I love my rl...well the car is getting old:-)
