Red face Curiousity at its peak

Well I basically live on the TL forums and I been following up rigorously on the supercharger for the TL-S. If somehow this comes alive would it fit the RL?

I guess I will find out. Interesting for sure. If I could get a solid 375-400hp out of this car I would be very happy indeed.

This has been discussed before here in the RL forum. More specifically, the topic was the Comptech supercharger. The issue is that the supercharger wouldn't fit in the RL's engine compartment.

If that limitation were overcome, one could imagine a supercharger in the RL. Another issue would be whether the RL's drivetrain could handle the extra horsepower. That is a major unknown.

Am I the only one who has impure thoughts about the upcoming 6 speed manual TL and the possibilities of the transmission swap to the RL and/or MDX?

Would that reduce the possibilities of automatic trannies self destruct due to the supercharger?

'09 and up RL will probably an easier swap, since it has the same 3.7 engine. The hard part is probably the electronics, i.e. how to make sure the VSA still work, etc.

Isn't the hill assist start facilitated by the SH-AWD, not the transmission itself?
