Creaky trim

Hi,

On certain (rough) road surfaces, occasionally the car bets a creak/rattle from somwhere near the edges of the fascia/behind the air vents or even the door handles area.

It sounds more like wiring looms than the actual interior, as everything (bar a loose glove box hinge - that was one rattle!) seems solid.

The car is so very quiet, it's quite annoying.

Anyone have experience of similar, who might be able to point me in the right direction, please?

If yours is an 05, there is a service bulletin for USDM 05 RL's covering many dash and console rattles.

Thanks - it's an 07 so it might still be useful.

My 2006 has slight rattle near the passenger side dash/glove box area... only hear it during driving on bumpy roads

that could be as simple as tightening the bolts along the bottom of the glove box

Indeed; Phillips screwdriver.

That's very much a rattly rattle and not one of these chirpy wirey rattles.

OK - I will check that out. Any panels covering those bolts or they are all exposed.
