A couple more foreign takes on the Legend
WebWombat, Australia
DriveArabia blog, in which they describe a bizarre electonic system including a Garmin GPS system? WTF? No built-in sat-nav in that area? And here again is the "looks like an Accord" comment?

Another feature we were shorted on:
"...There's the usuals in there too, such as dual-zone climate control, complete with 'sun sensors' that will detect direct sunlight and adjust the air flow and temperature automatically, and if the weather turns foul, automatic rain-sensing windscreen wipers will play their part."
Nice find. As we also note, the technology was great for 2004, but now is merely ordinary, well maybe that's too harsh, but technology is a tough thing to hang your hat on in selling a car on because technology marches so quickly as we have seen.

Within the comments of the Saudi article is another review from Helsinki, Finland

Yep you read it right neuronbob, no sat-nav in Australia. At least not for another couple of months. It will be retro-fitted when it becomes available. I stongly believe it wont be you fantastic system, but the cheaper version just introduced in the 08 Accord.
As for the "looks like an Accord", that's just badge envy. It looks like a Honda, and I think that's great!

They said it great in the review:
When it first launched at the 2004 New York Auto Show, the Honda Legend wanted to be a technology leader in the premium large sedan market and, to a point, it succeeds and primarily due to its promising AWD system. But in New York, back in 2004 when the car was unveiled, many of the features that were cutting edge are now viewed without jaw-dropping incredulity. "It does what?!" now becomes "My Hyundai does that". The Honda Legend is a very good vehicle that offers impressive value-for-money and would make for a great business partner, but Honda will need to strive harder to become a technology leader in the fast-moving prestige car market.
The lack of cooled seats, rain sensing wipers, hard drive equipped radio are painfully obvious when making comparisons to everything else (and even below) this class. I love the size and looks of the RL, but I worry that the lack of these items would really bug me.

sadlerau, it won't be hard to retrofit the Legend for sat-nav because all the parts are already there. Like our base RL, which has no navi, it can be modded to perform this function, as the screen and DVD drive are already there. Some of our members have made this mod and saved $$$$$. It's just a matter of what data is available from whichever supplier is used in Australia.
Chas2, that review you linked is boilerplate from Honda.
Look at the bottom of the page and it'll tell you so. No opinions, just the facts.
