As if it's taking up slack when I stomp it and it goes from coasting mode to go-fast mode.
Doesn't clunk when I shift from Park to Drive, or between forward and reverse, which to me rules out driveline issues. Given the cost of our driveshaft, that's a relief.
I'm thinking either the motor mounts (likeliest -- I've seen them discussed and even photographed a lot here) or the right upper control arm. My car is '06/108k, which seems right in the bullseye range for rubber to rot.
I thread-searched here but really didn't find anything authoritative. Thoughts? Guesses?

you would feel jerk if your engine mount was shot.
I'm guessing it's your front sway bar end links.
mine was replaced earlier this year and about 3 days ago due to defective part.
mine is also '06 & have 163k.
it's fairly in-expensive part and easy to change.
need to take both wheels off to get easy access tho.
