What do you mean by your car is smoking? Could be you have an oil leak that dripping onto the exhaust and the exhaust is burning it off. I would check for any oil leaks first. Engine light flashing might be due to misfiring is the valve cover gasket is gone and your spark plugs are burning off your oil. Kinda hard to help you with no pictures or proper description.

Thanks JasonK for the response. I have checked for any possible oil leaks. Unfortunately none.
The main problem is the blinking light and vibration when driving

Did you get the car scanned to see what the codes are?

Have you checked your oil level?

You really need the codes. Google says the blinking CEL indicates misfire which shouldn't be ignored.

Too many possibilities here...need definitions...what do you mean smoking? The exhaust or from some other location? Im guessing by vibration do you mean bucking or hesitation if so could be plugs or coils? As others have said get the code scanned and btw the more unburned fuel you dump in the cat the more expensive this repair can get

How many miles? Check your oil level and like everyone has already said, get those codes read. Flashing check engine light means misfire, can be as simple as bad spark plugs or worst case scenario, a bad motor. Have a trustworthy mechanic check it out, best of luck!
