Ceramic Pads vs. Metallic Pads?

I was looking for some new brake pads wondering if I should go with some Ceramic pads or Metallic pads? or even Semi-Metallic Pads?

Any suggestions or ideas would be great!

RL comes stock with ceramic pads, probably for a reason.
